A lot of people are saying AI is going to replace humans.
To a degree… that’s true.
Some roles will disappear. Some tasks will become automated. Some industries will look very different in five years.
But here’s my take as an entrepreneur of 35+ years:
AI doesn’t replace great people.
It amplifies them.
One of my goals this year is to build a small, tight team around me again. First on the list? A full-time assistant.
And yes , I’ve questioned whether I even need one now that AI is this powerful.
But the answer is simple:
I don’t need fewer people.
I need empowered people.
The right VA, equipped with the right AI tools, won’t operate like a traditional assistant.
They’ll operate like a micro-agency.
With the correct systems in place, one highly capable assistant using AI properly can produce the output of 3–4 traditional VAs.
Content.
Research.
Email drafts.
Systems.
Automation.
Data handling.
Workflow building.
And that completely changes the economics of team building.
My 2026 vision is to have 4–5 real people around me.
But with the right AI stack behind them?
That team will have the output capacity of 12–20.
That’s the shift most people are missing.
AI isn’t about cutting humans out.
It’s about upgrading the humans you already have.
If you’re a business owner, stop asking:
“Will AI replace my staff?”
Start asking:
“How can I equip my team to become 3x more valuable?”
The entrepreneurs who win over the next five years won’t be the ones who resist AI.
They’ll be the ones who build lean, highly skilled teams, powered by it.
Real people.
Real business.
With intelligent leverage.
